+ London and Me

I love London [I love you too Paris, but London was my first love...]
... been there several times in my life and maybe more.
First time there I was just only 12 yrs old girl with Mom, Dad and my little sister, and Carnaby Street was magical. We were browsing old London just like the other tourists: British Museum, Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussauds, etc, the must-seen it all done in 2 weeks visit to my uncle's house there. He was an Indonesian diplomat and live with his family for several years there. that was my first "rendang" dinner abroad. It felt and smelt like home.
The next London's visit when I was graduated from uni on 1995. It was just two of us, my Mom and I [Dad and lil sis stay at home]. We were doing European Tour [maybe more than 10 countries] with first and last stop at London. It's fun and unlike the posh diplomatic mercedez ride on previous visit, we're using tube all the times. Mind the gap everyone!!

After that, I went there on 2002, two weeks visiting my lil sister who stayed there a year with her family. Tate Modern Art Museum was my next passion. I was browsing there for hours, accompanied with my bro in law. There so much changes in London at that time: the modern London Eye ride, etc.

And the last ones was on 2003 and 2004. By this time I've found sooo many interesting facts, places and people. Not to mention shops and food. GREAT. I saw London quite differently that time.

Could I get a job that'll make me fly there once in a while? Or even better: two or three times a year? That would be GREAT!!
Wish me luck! :)

+ London [01]- Magical Olafur's at Tate

:: Olafur was using the weather' elements for composing this installation art:
which created by enormous circling light, humid air, sound,
:: This kid playing with his reflection on the mirror-ceiling above,
actually, we all did that! :)
:: I took this picture from 2nd floor.
People are all crazy about Olafur's instalation art. It's successful to get everybody being interactively connected with his art. They're all hypnotized by his gigantic "sun".

+ London [02] - Covent Garden Area

:: I love Covent Garden, we can find anything here. Nice shops [From Muji to Top Shop, from Mango to Diesel, lot of shoes stores [yeah....we can find Birkenstock here too] and my most favorite small and unique shop: Octopus, which sell sooo many cutest things I've ever seen], street performing art, rickshaws, and the opera houses just around the corner. Don't forget to browse its book stores. Must seen!
From here we can walk to the Chinese Town and there's a small Chinese snack shop which sell the most delicious and crunchy yellow-buttery biscuits ever....
I'll be back to that place for sure! :)

:: Covent Garden's Crowd: I just love this spot

:: London [03] - London Eye Area

London Eye, Saatchi and I just love the tube's escalator... dizzy and fun.
:: Mind the Gap!
Westminster's tube station: London Eye anyone? Saatchi? London Aquarium?

:: Mementos
London's Postcards [usually and souvenirs] Stall: it's everywhere around the city.
:: Big Ben at night:
lights...more lights.....mooore....

+ Cool Store

:: This store offer us great choices of "oleh-oleh" [mostly unique local food], it's on our must visit list if we're going to Lombok again someday.

+ Satay on The Beach

:: This unique yet delicious food can be found on Senggigi's Beach food stalls. Basically it's just a chicken satay but it had the sauce to-die-for. finished it with refreshing coconut's drink. Yummy...

+ Spices + Snack

:: Chilli 'n Pepper :: Crunchy Snacks

We've found those things in one traditional market.

You should come there by morning and get yummy breakfast around the corner.
